IMO what McDonagh showed was impressive. I wouldn't pass on him in favor of the two players you're considering.
Nick Leddy
Anton Volchenkov
Ryan McDonagh
Here are my current D:

McDonagh looks good, Leddy will get lots of icetime with Campbell gone. I would take either one over Volchenkov. I'd lean towards Leddy.
Depending on how Blocked Shots and Hits are counted in comparison to Goals and Assists you need to seriously consider Volchenkov. He averages close 2 blocks and 2 hits per game, which actually puts him in fairly elite company in the NHL. McDonagh by comparison is between 1 and 1.5 in each category. In a normal league I'd take McDonagh as well. But at 1 to 1 with no salary cap I'd be very interested in Volchenkov, as his blocks and hits will make up for the difference in points.

Sorry completely missed the H2H line in the 1st post. Since Blocks and Hits are relatively new categories to be counted, I still havent used them myself, a lot of gms dont consider them and it can create opportunities to exploit market inefficiencies. A player like Volchenkov could be just such an opportunity. I think in H2H with blocks and hits being equally as important as goals and assists Volcehnkov giving you approximately 160 of each and 15 points could contribute more than McDonagh at 30 (optimistic) and 120 of both blocks and shots. Adding 40 blocks and 40 hits is like adding another player in those cats, seriously consider this.
