So last year Lundqvist would have earned you about 530 points in that league and D Sedin about 260ish. Why would you draft Crosby over a netminder?

I agree with Shoeless, most people in your pool should be drafting a goaltender in the first round, not a Forward, even if its the likes of Crosby or Ovechkin, there is zero chance of them competing with an elite goalie.

I would have snagged up Lundqvist or Thomas or Price or Luongo for that matter (please no mean jokes, you can't distract him for tonights game).

Seriously, that draft should have gone something like Price, Rinne, Lundqvist, Luongo, Brysgalov, Fleury, Howard right off the bat. Then guys like Quick, Hiller, Halak.

There's probably something he's not telling us. Like weighted points or something.

Because there should still be plenty of netminders around by the time my second pick rolls around. My third pick is right after my second pick so I just plan on getting my two goalies right then and there.

I'd take Landeskog for sure, I won't change my mind.

Inaugural draft buddy. But I do like the Landeskog pick for a prospect draft. Rumblings are though that Huberdeau could go 2nd to COL..

Right, as I mentioned in another post even a non-elite goalie is worth alot in this league if he plays tons and makes lots of saves, but when you throw in the W and SHO categories it's better to grab an elite goalie rather than middle of the pack. I guess I'd have to know how many picks go until your next pick to assess, but picking two goalies in a row there might work for you. I have to say though, you also could grabbed your pick of the litter (Lundqvist or Price would have been my choice) and still had two amazing forwards with the 2nd and 3rd picks too, another way to look at it.

Please post once you make your other picks, will be fun to see who's available and who you manage to get.

I must say that this is yet another one of those threads where the scoring categories make a HUGE difference in the advice being sought. Lesson for forum members, especially newbies, ALWAYS include the scoring categories (preferably in your signature, as many others have done).

Oh thanks for pointing that out.
I'd take Ovechkin (first choice) or Malkin (second choice). Stamkos and all the others are below them if you ask me.
