Interesting move if it happens. Would he clear waivers?

I don't see how he could make it to Detroit through waivers. But wow.
edit: Maybe the Blues will sign him hahah

I think he could make it through waivers if they are discussing a multi-year deal. I agree that a pro-rated 1 year deal will likely get plucked off waivers regardless of the $$$.
I've been catching a lot of flack picking up Nabby in a league with limited add/drops. Hopefully this will redeem me some.

I still don't see Nabby in Yahoo. That's awful.
Also, I don't understand how Detroit can do this? According to nhlnumbers.com, they're MINUS cap space by about 400K. Are they just hoping someone else scoops him up? I don't get it.

Yeah Dean, same . I honestly don't see him getting to Detroit. I'd hate to pick him up and then see him go to NYI. :P

Holy f-ing....the last team I would have suspected. Glad I hung onto him. Man does this season just keep getting interesting!
@SmittysRant
lets hope. Just scoped him up. He is a nice fit with that club.

Osgood's injury might be worse then originally reported perhaps? They make this move to have a vet behind Howard it looks like...
Would take a chance and pick him up, but he's not in Yahoo's database
I don't get it. Aren't they happy and invested in Howard? I can't see why they would want to sign Nabby especially if he comes with a price tag of 4 mill.
Now if it's a one year deal, that makes sense.
Head to Head League: 1 point for G, 1 point for A. 2 for Goalie win, 3 for SO.
Start 6 guys every week. 3 O, 2 D and 1G. No substitutions once they are in (before the first game starts on Monday).
Protect 3 players every year in keeper.

Never trust nhlnumbers.com. Capgeek is much more reliable and shows that Detroit has plenty of cap space to sign Nabokov. That is if they use the LTIR-exemption and with Osgood, Modano etc. injured I'm sure they could squeeze Nabokov under the cap while keeping those guys on IR, atleast until the playoffs starts.

What will be the split in games with Howard?
I think 25% Nabokov and 75 % Howard...
