Luongo is brutal so far

What is wrong with this guy? 7-7-2 (so really 7-9) with a .907 and a 2.88? He ended up with a good win total last year but his other numbers were nothing special, and now this. I know he is known to be overrated by a lot of people, but is he this overrated?

Who would want Luongo and his 12 year contract? And Luongo would also have to agree to waive his NTC. It's going to be really difficult if not impossible for the Canucks to move Luongo.

I dont think that anyone doubts that he will have a great win total but the other numbers may not end up so pretty.

As for not being able to move him you are probably right!! its a shame that these GMs are investing so much like this and it only seems to hurt there teams when they do it! DiPietro, Kovy, Luongo, Savard (to a less extent) unless its sid, ovy, stammer or Malkin why??

i have to believe he will come around as well ...but man, having a Luongo/Brodeur tandem is driving me to drink.

not to make excuses, but a big problem has been Canuck defence -- NONE of them are plus players currently. Rome (-4) and Alberts (-3) are playing way too much, newcomers Ballard and Hamhuis (both -2) have been non factors (when they're even played); the rest are all even.

Luongo misses Mitchell bigtime, his numbers have been lousy since he left.

However, there is too much talent in this room for this to go on -- I expect a turnaround, and quickly.

I really hope he has a turn around, but based on last year and this year, not sure its coming like I would have hoped. As someone mentioned, his win total will probably end up OK because his team is great, but I am not convinced his other numbers will be where most owners would want them. It is not like I am going to be dumping him or anything, but its just pretty frustrating.

Luongo always starts out slow every year. Plus when comparing the starting G to the backup you also have to look at the competition faced. For a lot of teams there's a big difference.

Problem is that this revamped defense they brought in for Luongo is shitting the bed. Hamhuis and Ballard have been HUGE busts so far. Lots of time to correct this but so far they have not impressed in the least.

Same thing is Pittsburgh though as everybody thought their defense would be so much better. Michalek and Martin need more time as well. I'd give another 20 games or so until panic sets in.

Yeah, except for the fact that he did not really do too well the second half of last year. Both of my leagues count W, GAA, Sv % and SO, and so he was nothing special for me last year. Wins are only one category out of four...

Luongo + Rinne + Kiprusoff killed me in the early goings this year. Goalie stats are basically 50% of my H2H league (though not as much for the rotos).

I had a deal to move Luongo+ for Howard++ really early in the season and shut it down quickly. I still have faith he'll come around but it's been brutal for the first little bit.

In a keeper would anyone recommend Luongo+ for Howard++ move if I get an upgraded forward too?! Maybe I should just make another thread about it...
