Reasonable price for Price

I am trying to get Price from someone in my league(keep all dynasty) but I am not willing to be completely irrational just because I am a fan of Price. I have offered all kinds of trades and all have been rejected. Then I get some counters for top players like Eric Staal or Doughty which to me is ridiculous. My question is, based on my roster in sig below, what would be a reasonable offer for Price? Keep in mind he is not a big fan of prospects sending or receiving so sending someone like Filatov means a lot less to him than it would to most.

One last thing. I know he is willing to move him because he told me he was and he has Hiller, Varlamov, Chris Mason, Gustavsson and Neuvirth.

Send Phaeuf and Crawford for Price. That gives him what appears to be a replacement in Crawford and what appears to be a super-star in Phaneuf, and you will get what appears may be a star in Price.

Is Price worth that? I know he definitely could be worth it but one could argue that Ryan is looking a lot more likely to see his upside than Price is and he has been more valuable over the past year. Not saying you are wrong though it is also an idea I toyed with but I am not sure my depth at LW can handle that right now.

I would not give up Ryan.... I think Phaneuf is equal. 4/11 of your cats are G though. Price is a bit more valuable than you seem to think.

If you have 3 clear G starters in a H2H you can usually win those cats which puts you way ahead. I would pay a fair amount for a current and future #1. You increase your points in 4 categories by 30%. Not many other players can do that for you.

Oh I have no problem with moving Phaneuf it is the extra player to include that I need to determine. I do believe Price is valuable but to request players like Iginla, Doughty, or Zetterberg to me is asking for too much.

In a H2H keeper, I'd trade Iggy for Price, but I hate the flames so I would take my advice with a grain of salt.

Keep Ryan, he's too high of a price for Price! I like the Phaneuf idea with Crawford. Maybe Plekanec and Wisnowski?

Thanks guys. I guess the counter to the Phaneuf suggestions would be, if you had the goalies that he does(Price, Hiller, Varlamov, C. Mason, Neuvirth), would you trade Price for Phaneuf? I proposed but he is sitting on it.

Price is now at his highest value since his hype years here in Dobberland. He has the starting job (finally) and he just posted a shut out. If I owned Price I wouldn't move him for Phaneuf in a million years.

Price can only be traded for now as a real deal goalie and most owners have been through some pain with him so are likely to increase his value more than it should be.

As noted before. Iggy for Price is a STEAL on the Price side. I would make that deal in a heartbeat. I would make your move sonner than later because if the guy has gone quiet he is likely entertaining offers.

That is kind of what I was getting at by asking the question. I also think Price's value is as high as it has been but I wonder if long term owners will be more willing now to sell him off for valuable players (maybe more than Phaneuf though) since they are afraid he goes down from here. I have thrown another offer at the other owner.

Iginla/Kronwall for Price/Voracek

What do you think of that offer. Remember this is a dynasty league where you carry all your players moving forward.

That is a great deal for you. I would not take it if I were the Price owner. And yeah, you are likely looking at a 50/50 of Price owners that want to sell/keep. If you have a seller, I suggest stringly that you buy. Buy a little high with some age (like Iginla) since I think Price is now on his way. Not for anything else than MTL has finally committed and he can just play hockey. The skills are all there.

If you don't ger rid of Iginla soon, his value will only diminish as the dismal season wears on for the Flames. So don't get too cute with your trade. Thankfully, Voracek is a good buy low candidate right now.

I can't think of 1 person who wouldnt trade iginla for price. I would do it even if Price wasnt on fire.

That offer of Iginla/Kronwall for Price/Voracek is gold for you. If he takes it be extremely happy.
