I decided to join a Yahoo! league last minute.

8 Teams - H2H


I had the dreaded 1st overall pick (it's a long wait until you get to pick again).
2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 2G, 4BN
G, A, PIM +/-, PPP, SOG

The numbers in ( ) represent the round I picked each player in.

C - Lecavalier (6), Kopitar (10)
LW - Ovechkin (1), Nash (4)(lw/rw)
RW - Perry(5), Kane (3)
D - Gonchar (7), Kaberle (8), Kronwall (11), Karlsson (12)
G - Bryzgalov (2), Ward (9)

BN - Niemi (14), Frolov (15) (lw), Hemsky (13)(rw), Downie (16)(rw)

Thoughts would be appreciated. Clearly my defense is my worst but it seemed everytime I wanted to pick one the guy ahead of me snapped him up (wanted Green, Yandle and Weber and all three got picked just before I was due). Goalies went like a flurry after the top 3 were picked (miller, luongo, brodeur, howard) so I decided to grab bryz at 9th

extremely balanced I think. Kronwall/Frolov I'd say are your' only "gamble" type players, and I'm sure that if they don't produce there will be great options on the wire.

I like your goalies a lot. I think Ward is going to have a bounce back year and be a top-5 goalie this year, same with Bryz. I think if Lecavalier has a great year, this team should easily win. I'd monitor Kronwall and see if there are better options on the waiver wire.

I wonder what goalie cats you are scoring in this league? Surely you have a lock on 3 skater cats in G, PPP, and SOG. Time will tell if you have enough PIM's to compete in that category - you might be shy on A and +/- from one week to the next as well. You sure have a truckload of offense there.

Kopitar in the 10th round is a crime against humanity even in an 8 team league.
