Krejci, I may be biased because i own him. But he would be my first choice.

    One is 24 years old.
    One is 25 years old.

One has been on about 52 point pace for 1-1/2 years.
One has been on 60 point pace for several years.

One had a wonderful 1/2 season run, two seasons ago.
    One plays for Team Canada
Both have had injuries that may have affected their points totals over the last couple years.
Both have a single season career high of 73 points.

I'll take the guy in Italics. He's also the better defensive player.

    Patrice Bergeron

Krejci has actually been on 63 point pace the past two seasons while Bergeron hasn't been on 60 point pace in the last three seasons.

Krejci can't play for Team Canada - no reason to hold that against him

Is Bergeron really the better defensive player? Two seasons ago Krejci finished 6th in Selke voting. That tells you something about his defensive game.

I'll take Krejci- the numbers speak for themselves.

Does anyone know who is on the first line at the start of the season?

I agree with the comparisons above... you just forgot to mention the concussions. That's why I could see people taking Kreijci. Without the concussion risk, Bergeron is definitely the better choice.

Krejci plays for the Czechoslovakian team. Krejci scored 48 points in 43 games to open 2 seasons ago. For the duration of the 2008-09 season Krejci was on pace for 52 points. During the 2009-10 season he was on pace for 54 points. I missed the idea that Krejci finished 6th in Selke. That's a tremendous accomplishment.

Bergeron was on pace for 49 points two years ago. Bergeron was on pace for 58 points last year.

The numbers lie. It's very close one way or the other.

Krejci has a slight edge in ice time in the preseason, not that it means much...

Bergeron has been playing well with Recchi & Seguin so I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed together and Krejci gets Lucic & Horton.

It will be pretty close in ice time, but I like Krejci for more points.
