Green for Backstrom???

Another option may be to deal Green for Doughty and a sniper.

The owner who has Doughty actually traded Green to me for Filatov and Oshie (still ranks as the biggest de-pantsing in our league history, ah thank you..). He never lived it down, and may want him back and give up Dought ++.

I actually like DD more than Green long term. I just can't see Green staying in Washington long term and can't see him posting similar numbers anywhere else. Great numbers, likely, but insane numbers like this only seem possible in Washington.

If anyone has any knowledge/informed opinions of Green's length of stay in Washington, it would help tremendously.

yeah Doughty is gonna be something else. glad you liked that idea. about your green question....i remember reading a thread or two on the subject. can't recall where they were though. perhaps a search could lead you there. i remember a few posts about how Greens talent could make him successful on most any other team. i buy into that to an extent but as an owner of Green, a trade scares the heck outta me.

Nicklas Backstrom is my favorite player in the NHL right now (and I think he is one of the top 3-5 best forwards on the planet). That said, you need to stick with Green in this format. The Green Machine is a complete monster with 3x goals and is a must-keep.
