F-ing lovely.
Not sure why, but watching the Wings/Preds game and Weber isn't on the bench (or the ice). Commentators aren't sure when he went out either.

Ugh. My new motto: when I receive bad news about my team, I remember that I still have my vision and all my fingers and toes.

Any guess on how bad it is? How long he'd be out for? I need to make a move tonight and if he's going to miss any time then he's the guy I drop. How bad is a defenseman without a wrist? Ugh.. it hurts to even ask...

The way he injured his wrist doesn't sound too good...
The Predators, who had won three straight, lost defenseman Shea Weber after the first period. He was involved in a pile up behind his net. He was pushed to the ice by Holmstrom and then it appeared his left hand was inadvertently stepped on by the skate of Johan Franzen. From The Detroit News: http://www.detnews.com/article/20100...#ixzz0hNXh5qHP
but this sounds promising
http://www.rotowire.com/Shea-Weber-g...1061-spnhl.htmUpdate:
Weber is day-to-day after suffering an apparent hand injury in Friday's loss to Detroit, John Glennon of the Nashville Tennessean reports.
Recommendation:
He played just 7:37 on Friday night before departing. Weber will be evaluated again by the Predators' medical staff on Saturday, but head coach Barry Trotz said that he doesn't believe that the injury is serious.
Its probably best to keep tabs on this guys twitter for updates

Don't worry guys!!!! I prematurely dropped him so that I could get Booth and play him tonight. As a result Weber will miss no games and sorry to Booth owners, but he'll be a -1 and get no points tonight.

by all accounts it sounds like a minor injury, i wouldn't mind him skipping sunday's game just to be safe.
http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/357379...s-player_news/"It was something that started (on Thursday) and I started playing through it, but I re-aggravated it (Friday)," Weber said. Weber will get checked out by doctors on Saturday and could possibly be back in action on Sunday.
http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs....3060328&Ref=ARWeber is scheduled to get re-evaluated today. Predators Coach Barry Trotz called him day-to-day and did not rule out the possibility of Weber playing Sunday against Vancouver."We'll see,'' Trotz said. "We'll have a better idea (today).''

Source: http://blogs.tennessean.com/predator...ainst-canucks/The latest word on Preds defenseman Shea Weber is that he will not play Sunday against Vancouver after suffering an upper-body injury against Detroit on Friday... Preds coach Barry Trotz is still calling Weber day-to-day. He doesn’t think Weber – who appeared to hurt his left hand or arm – will be out too long. It’s been my experience that in general, the longer the Preds take to put a timetable on an injury, the longer the player is out. But we’ll see what transpires.
That last part has me worried... hopefully this john glennon character is wrong
