would like some trade advice, please

I am in contention and going for it this year.

I get:

Brad Richards, Mark Streit and Holmstom/Karyia


I give:

Vanek/Zetterberg, Bouwmeester and Alfredsson


My take:

Holmstrom/Karyia for Alfe is a wash - Alfe is better but hurt and I need producing players
Richards = Zetts/Vanek (better this year, and not that far off in the coming years)
Streit is better than J-Bo

This move may help me this season, and I am getting tired of J-Bo (bumped off top pp now). It does seem a little lateral and I do give up the best player, though...

Am I giving up too much??

ouch.. i think you are giving up alot in that deal. yes injury guys but still alot. richards is good but if i am not mistaken he hasnt played a full season in the last 3 seasons. that is never good to see if you are going to put some much into that one guy.

vanek is sucking big time but he has been on the scoreboard in the past 4 games i believe.

I really don't like this trade for you. First off, JBo typically does most of his producing in the 2nd half of the season, and Streit hasn't done much even with the Islanders scoring and playing decent hockey.
Alfie is hurt but I don't think Holmstrom or Kariya (who is also hurt) is a good enough replacement.
The only part of the trade that you're doing ok with is the Richards part, but that's only if he stays healthy and keeps producing the way he has been. I personally prefer Vanek?Zett to pick up their play and start producing more.
