Looking at a lot of career AHLers - Jason Krog, Tim Kennedy, Brett Sterling. The latter could have an opportunity if he gets traded but he's disappointed so far.

They also have quite of few checking type forwards - Anthony Stewart, Josh Gratton

I would keep an eye on Spencer Machacek - he MIGHT have some value in deeper leagues

They are not a true developmental AHL team because no NHL team owns them or has a super strong affiliation with them. Hell, they used to outdraw the Blackhawks in the early 00's. Great organization for the minors, for sure.

Machachek is one to watch for sure - former Giant and they have churned out solid pros.

Paul Postma too - huge WHL numbers, good positional guy, great passer.

It is amazing that Johnny Pohl is in the AHL - he absolutely SHREDDED the NCAA at Minnesota... yet busted in the NHL. He had 79 points in 44 games in his last year in college! Insane.

I kinda like that Chris Chelios kid. Looking at his stats he seems quite promising. He's put up some great numbers every level he's played at.

Yeah but seriously besides the two guys angus mentioned above (Machacek and Postma) Riley Holzapfel is quite promising too. Probably will not turn out anything more than 3rd liner though.

I still think Sterling is $. He needs a new NHL organization though. Up until now, he's thrived at every level since PeeWee. Get him on a new squad and I think he could rip it up...just depends how long he wastes away in the Thrashers organization though. That could kill everything.
