I don't know that it's specifically bad per say... I think that the team is just becoming very cautious with burn's head these days. I only would expect a different player to be out 4-6 weeks... But with burns, they'll be very careful now... I'd say 8-12 weeks from when he got injured if I had to guess (which I do since I own him in the experts league).

I think he could be back this year, but if minny isn't in the playoff hunt, I wonder if they don't give him even more time...

Rotoworld said he is being shut down until at least the new year. Like Lanky says, i wouldnt be surprised to see him sit out for months, as Minny wont be in the hunt for a playoff spot

I read somewhere that the writer got the feeling he'll be back sooner rather than later. Maybe it was Russo or one of those writers around the team.

One thing that can't be ignored: Minnesota has been a much better team since Burns went down.

There was also a lot of criticism about team accountability and preparation that I interpreted to be indirectly aimed squarely at Burns...

I'd think that seeing Burns before 2010 is quite unlikely.

Lets hope he is back by new year. They were saying he had a shot at olympic team after the training camp.
