Dobber, great idea with the forum. How high would you pick Backstrom in a keeper league that is currently drafting and what kind of upside do you see
Thanks

I currently own him in my keeper...would you keep him instead of the likes of rolston, kronwall, barker, yashin? As Ovechkin\'s center? Wouldn\'t surprise if he got 85 points as a rookie and maxed out at 105 or 110 in his career.
Note, this is a points only league where the only twist is Dmen goals = 2 pts.
My 8 of 8 keepers now are Ovechkin, Frolov, S. Niedermayer, Pronger, Kipper, Backstrom, Schnieder, Alfreddson.

maybe around 50th overall. I\'d make sure I get him. Malkin was around 15-20th this past summer. Backstrom ain\'t that good. But he\'s good.

Subject line says it all. Is he gone? CAN he be moved? He has played better of late...
B)
yes they will and if they don\'t then he\'ll exercise the clause and end up somewhere else soon
i agree with ian, he\'s as good as gone.
i\'m just glad that his recent decent (poet?) play has enhanced his value slightly, so they might get a decent return for him. the jays have one of the WORST farm systems in the majors with nothing more than a handful of decent prospects.
ricky romero anyone? gawd....

I remember reading that the Jays scouts LOVED Tulowitski, but JP overruled them all and they ended up with Romero...
ugh.
Anyway, first post.
They better move him. Has Enfuego mentioned... he is just lucky to have some value. His mechanics are nothing but trouble for his health.

After A.J.\'s last 3 starts, I\'ve noticed the trade talk has kind of died down. I\'d trade him but only if they get a hell of a return. You guys think he\'s still gone?
We get one of these - Don't waste it.
BUMP of the day.
For no reason today... I decided to start the "Prospects" threads by "Thread Post Start" date, and click on the oldest.
Found this one on Backstrom.
Pretty good analysis, Dobber.
On the strange side:
1. How did the TOR Burnett thread get clumped in here?, and
2. Is that really the great Angus' first post (in a baseball thread, I assume)?
Strange thread...
Wow, now that was a blast from the past!! I remember those days actually because I was found roaming these forums in 2007 with the likes of Dobber, Angus, smack, enfuego, ect.. HaHaHa..
Awesome find pengwin!!
