(honest) Roster Advice Needed

Scoring is as follows:

Goals, Assists, +/-, Penalty Mins, PPPoints, SHPoints, GWGoals, Faceoff Wins.

2 C\'s, 2 LW\'s, 2 RW\'s, 3 D, 1 Util, 3 bench.

Currently fielding:

C\'s: J.Thornton, Nylander
LW\'s: Malkin, Avery
RW\'s: Radulov, Stafford
D\'s: Shea Weber, S.O\'brien, Witt
Util: Comrie
Bench: Havlat, Toews, J.Staal

My RW situation is terrible.
My Avery (as of non-IR yet) situation is terrible.
My Weber (as of non-IR yet) situation is terrible.
My Havlat situation is well, a havlat situation.

(Don\'t draft a bandaid boy.
I know, i know... i\'ve slapped my hand that clicked the mouse that made it happen already.)

I\'m in a weekly changes league. That helps usually, but this time it hurts me as I\'m playing 2 lame-ducks in Avery and Weber for this week. I\'m desperately waiting for Yahoo to update their IR status\'s from the NHL...

SO.
If you\'ve read this far, if you\'ve got a minute (please, please please x10) please let me know how you\'d fix this lineup. Once the IR spots update i\'ll have 2 available roster spots.

Guys available:
(figuring i should focus on RW\'s, and a LW unless Staal gets updated to LW?)

RW\'s available: Dumont, Stempniak, Zherdev, Shannon, Upshall, Sullivan, Satan, Kovalev, Ryder, Clark, Samuelsson, Eaves, Callahan

LW\'s available: Carcillo, Ladd, Ponikarovsky, Eriksson, Sturm, Samsonov?, Jokinen

My preference is Dumont as your replacement for Radulov and Ponikarovsky for Avery

Gotta pick up Dumont if he\'s available. Zherdev would be my 2nd pick from rw.

As for Lw\'s. only pony and carcillo jumped out at me. Take a chance on them.

Drop Avery for Sullivan now, stash Sullivan on your IR... I would drop someone for Dumont as well, he will help you out now while you wait for the others to get healthy or earn eligibility. I would also grab Sturm once you put Sullivan on your IR, he will score a few goals for you at LW!

J. Jokinen while not the best LW does win faceoffs. I picked him up to replace avery this week too. Good Luck.

I can\'t drop Avery straight up, I\'m definitely going to wait for him to be put on the IR (crossing my fingers that the Rangers do it soon)...

But from what I\'m reading Dumont seems to be the guy to get to fill into the RW slot eh?
Bench Radulov for now, and play Stafford with Dumont?!

((again, it\'s a weekly, not daily changes league, so we\'re accountable for the entire span of 7 days... wish i could drop them in/out but we can\'t))

and I know that the guide has Samsonov projected to do better with regular playing time, and with a rejuvinated roster of kids around him (Toews, etc) - but is he worth the pickup?
---too much blind hope with him?

I think at this point you can drop radulov for him... Samsonov\'s numbers were skewed a little bit in the fact that he would be playing with Havlat much like Handzus last season, but it doesn\'t look like that is going to happen anytime soon.

i think i\'m going to pass on sullivan - i firmly believe in the eventual regular scoring touch to come to radulov; and feel that sullivan might not be worth me losing rad\' to the waiver feeding frenzy wire...

any other idea\'s guys?

Dumont and Ponikarovsky (depending on his \"we just got destroyed by the Hurricanes got to impress the coach\" leg injury). I think that you could safely drop JStaal or Toews from your bench, if you need help now, these aren\'t the guys you want waiting in the wings. You got them for potential, right now you need performance.
