    Default Bowman or Boychuk

Dobber's article today stated, "In Carolina, a spot just opened up for Drayson Bowman on the wing. Not a guaranteed spot, but there are 12 spots spoken for and he and Zach Boychuk can now battle it out for the 13th."

Bowman's a year older, but Boychuk got a brief audition last year.
This article (http://www.newsobserver.com/front/story/1610785.html) seems to think they'll both be AHL bound.

Who (if either) is it going to be?

Defense: Josi, Dahlin, Letang, Gostisbehere, Ekman-Larsson, Petry, Slavin, Keith, Matheson

    Goal: Lehner, Holtby, Varlamov

I like Bowman's game a lot. I see him pushing someone out of a job. Too much mediocre play on the wings in Carolina.

As a prospect I like Bowman better but Boychuk already has his foot in the door playing 2 NHL games already. I think only one of them makes it and I am going to say Bowman because as I think he will have a stronger camp. I was going to say Bowman is a year older than him as a reason that would improve his odds but I just looked it up and there is only 7-8 months between them, both 1989's.

    Still I voted Bowman.

I'm really surprised by the Bowman over Boychuk consensus here. I personally like Boychuk quite a lot more than Bowman. He's small but he's got the makings of a Theo Fleury type player imo. Bowman I dont think is ever going to be as good.
