Tough Time With These Prospects

If you forget positioning, which one out of these guys would you draft in a multi-cat league and in which order:

Hedman
Duchene
Benn
VanRiemsdyk
Hodgson

Forget positioning as in forget what positional needs you have or as in your league doesn't differentiate between positions?

Can you wait on them? When do you need production?

Assuming you're just looking for the BEST fantasy player compared to his peers, timeline be damned:

1. Hedman
2a. Duchene
2b. JvR
4. Hodgson
5. Benn

JVR (the talent he will be playing with will make him better)
Duchene(how much burden can he carry with a Sakic-less Avs team that has injury prone Stastny always sidelined?)
Hodgson

I think you have to go with van Riemsdyk as your #1 because he'll contribute in most cats. Benn I'd rate a close 2nd... again because of gthe contributions across the board. Hodgson I'd rate 3rd, Duchene 4th and Hedman 5th. If it is postioning be damned, Hedman gives up too much point wise to the Fs here imo, but may gain some back in the PIMs over Hodgson and Duchene.

If you really are not considering positions, Hedman doesn't even belong in the same group as these other guys. He isn't going to be a PIM stud and even the most optimistic projections have him maxing out at 60-65 pts. For a dman, those are terrific numbers (if he ever gets there), but they still don't come close to what the forwards on your list will get. Therefore, I would rank them this way:

Duchene
VanRiemsdyk
Benn
Hodgson
Hedman

I'd go with Hedman, then flip a coin to find your 2 & 3 between JVR & Duchene, followed by Hodgeson and then Benn.
