lol I won by one cat and one goal in that cat last year I believe. I think it was Bill Thomas, a last second pick up, that won it for me. How ironic a player like that made a diff for my season.

There are a couple other elite teams. We have a really cool IMO turnover system so this year is my last hurrah if I get top 3 again. Last year I lost Bergeron and Marleau. This year I\'ll lose almost all my keepers but the top 5. Still nice but my depth will be awful. Kinda sux but makes things more exciting. I\'ll enjoy rebuilding :cheer:

In achieveing this team, I just kept moving up in deals and taking chances on youth. 3rd year. I remember last year I traded B. Richards for Malkin and got some grief on forums cuz malkin hadn\'t even played yet. I eventually ended up with both of them. I also traded Sullivan for Kopitar in the first week. Kopitar I moved in a package for Iginla and moved him for so on and so on... Needless to say... those gambles really worked out!

Guys to take a look at:
Mara - PIMs & points manning the NYR PP
Beauchemin - durable, either Pronger or Schneider will be hurt during the season, nice +/-
Krejci - looking good in camp
Wideman - #2 PP man by default in Beantown
Ohlund - solid but Bieksa holds the #1 spot
Ramo - could steal the #1 spot in T-Bay

I\'d really like to hear some other opinions. I\'m pretty high on Callahan but I\'m still questioning a move. Leclaire I have to keep cuz I don\'t have a ton of starting goalies.

OK, Here is how I see it....

You have a great team that needs just a little bit of tinkering.

Forwards - Very deep, not much tinkering is needed here.

Defense - Although young and promising, you could use some further depth.

Goalies - Brodeur is Brodeur, Fleury should improve with better D in front of him and more experience. LeClaire is not guaranteed to be a starter on a weak team.

Farm - Very good stable of prospects. Gamache is the only \'possible\' question mark. It would be best to find out his situation before you consider moving him. It is quite possible he could play in the top six in TO. Just a guess, but is it Jonathan Bernier - G - LA that you have? If so, then this is what I\'d recommend....

You have a team that is built to win now, as you mentioned, you can only keep 5 at the conclusion of this season. Since you already have a good keeper goalie in J.Bernier, I\'d make an offer of LeClaire + Irving and possibly one of your forwards for a quality starting goalie. LeClaire might be of some value to another GM (you never know), Irving, although a good prospect, is several years away, but you could use the help now.

With this quantity for quality trade, you can pick up some free agents with the openings made from trading your guys. There are many decent D available, just go with your hunch, it looks like you know what you\'re doing

Hlinka, Antropov and possibly Vrbata or Krejci (depending on their camps) are decent forward sleepers.

Any trades you make should focus on improving your D and Goalie positions. Keep in mind that with the daily changes, having good depth in Goal and on the blueline is crucial. Especially with your goalies. IMO, another quality goalie is imperative to the success of your upcoming season.
