Skinner is the safe answer but it would not surprise me if it's Kochetkov when all is said and done. We all know about the fluidity of the goalie position.

Now at least Skinner has the net but for how long? Who knows. The better long term own is definitely Kochetkov.

Well, the first thing I feel obligated to comment on, and this is my opinion only, but projecting NHL goaltenders fantasy relevance over a five-year cycle is an exercise in totally excruciating futility. Ah, don't go there. How about next year, or perhaps the following year? I think Skinner is the better option next year and then the following year Kochetkov should be fully in the conversation. However, next year, take the guy who is there now. Who are the Canes trusting to take them to a Stanely Cup? Not Kochetkov. Who are the Oilers looking to take them to a Stanley Cup? Skinner. Injuries or other weirdness could change this next year but IMO the net in Edmonton remains Skinners next year and Kochetkov remains a backup (a 50/50 split is possible) until Freddy's contract is up at the end of next year. My 2 cents worth.
