I don't really mind this, it's a calculated risk so to speak. You save a bit of Cap and improve this year's draft which certainly helps you pursue the back to backs. This all boils down to what kind of a year Hedman might have. If he has a good year this could work out well for you provided you can make up the lost peripherals with guys like Harmonic and Benoit and whoever else you might draft, you should be able to do that. As far as flipping Hedman, well, if he is having a good year, I don't see a need to do that. If he is having a bad year then trying to move him for Carlson, Morrissey or someone else for that matter could cost you some extra assets in addition to Hedman. Again, it's a calculated risk but sometimes you just have to take a few chances (:
