Husso - picking from waivers. But who to trade/drop?

I got myself in unpleasant situation. Usually I plan my picks regarding the next weeks schedule and to have some roster movement options, but this time I failed.

My roster is full of undroppable players. I have Reinhart, who is rank 56 in our league and he is not playing this doubleweek and weeks after that Florida has only 3,3 and 2 games. I really tried to trade him last days, but all attempts were unsuccessful.

Now, nobody wants him, because he is not playing, even I am targeting injured players like (Oshie, Stephenson, Martinez, Dumba, M.Foligno, Teravainen and so on).

Getting injured player is a part of my plan to get Husso, because I have 1 IR slot empty, so this allows me to pickup Husso from waivers without dropping Reinhart.

I want to offer my other healthy players for OGMs injured players, but I need your advice how to deal with this situation.

My current squad

C - Crosby, Scheifele
C,LW - RNH, Stuetzle (depends if start producing)
C,RW - E.Lindholm, Reinhart
LW,RW Kyrou (+C), Rust
RW - Zuccarello
D - Hedman, DeAngelo, Krug, D.Toews, Barrie
G - Hellebuyck, Sorokin
IR - Eichel (C)
IR+ - empty

I am quite on winning streak (Last week 8-2, week before that 8-3). Now I am winning 8-3 this week, and I should win next week (OGM has weaker schedule). Currently I am 8/12 in league, but I am going up (was 11/12 2 weeks ago).

My goalies causing me trouble (currently I have those in bold) :

• Talbot - I simply dropped him after his injury and poor performance in Winter Classic.
• Lehner - After long consideration I traded him, because he had worst numbers and worst schedule next months and in playoffs for E.Linholm (good buy-low situation, to upgrade my forwards).
• Hellebuyck - We know that Winnipeg and he himself are in major slumps. Winnipeg has good schedule next 5 weeks after All-Stars break, so I am holding and praying here.
• Sorokin -I picked him from waivers because Islanders had/have a lot of games in bank and simply because he is a good goalie. But last Islanders results were disappointing. So I think trade is a good option here.

So I need some goalie upgrade ot atleast a plan for future.

Honorable free goalie agents are:

• Husso - I really want to pickup him, he is stellar, in good team and the Blues schedule is so good (mostly easier opponents and good fantasy playoffs schedule!)
• Gibson - good goalie, but worse team and schedule - only as a timely streamer
• Kahkonen - good goalie, team and schedule, but seems the Talbot is back in business. So I could have max 50% starts (maybe even less).
• Binnington - will he bounce back? I think he will get atleast one chance from coach.
• others worth mentioning: Swayman, Oettinger, Vanecek, Quick, Reimber, Grubauer, Ned, Holtby.

I am leaning towards to pick up Husso and monitor Blues goalie situation. When Binnigton will take the reins back, I will switch to him or keep them both. Again, Blues has best schedule and they are strong strong team.

If there wasnt Husso on the table, I would stand pat and wait next week when I could trade Reinhart (or make some other roster changes). But the Husso is there smiling at me !

1. If you dont agree with picking up Husso, what should I do to upgrade my goalie situation?
2. If you agree to pick Husso, should I straight drop Reinhart or who else to drop ?
3. If Reinhart is too valuable and there is no other clear drop, what trading pack should I try to create to make a roster space for Husso? Pack could include or exclude Reinhart.
4. some other options you see?

i want either Gibson or Husso..for me Barrie isn't a terrible option to trade or drop, i dont play in a Hits/Blks league so he may be valuable there?

I agree with this. Gibson will start as many games as he wants or when not hurt. Husso “could” lose starts but not likely.

As far as teams go STL is in a wild card spot, ANA is legit in … so don’t sleep on ANA and their spunk. Plus Ginny makes that team win.

It's a start 2 goalies a day. I know FrozenPool planner, I use it more than my personal calendar

OK, it's Gibson or Husso. But 2nd part of equation is who to drop or who to trade?

Barrie is not for hits and blocks, he is mainly pointer (mostly PPP). He recently came back from injury and returned to PP1, which is deadly in Edmonton. Furthermore Edmonton has 5 games this and also next week. I dont think Barrie is a straight drop, he has most points between Defenders last seasion! He has some trade value (atleast in pack 2for1).

My other weakest players are:

• Scheifele (very good schedule 5 weeks from now - 20 games total, could rebound) and
• Stuetzle (getting more minutes as Batherson is injured and 6 games this week, 4 games next week, good playoff schedule).

But I am not OK to straight drop them (even for Husso/Gibson).

I will start preparing some trade offers, targeting all taken injured players.
Unfortunatelly, Scheifele has low trade value now.
I will maybe offer Sorokin aswell, because I dont believe Islanders will start winning against stronger teams.

Meanwhile still awaiting more thoughts about this.
