Actually starting to think I should keep Campbell and Samsonov and let Ned go... Campbell might turn out to be a Leafs starter after all
Hi,
Team in sig
I can keep 4 rookies and plan on keeping two of the following:
- Campbell - last year as rookie
- Samsonov - one more year after this season
- Nedeljkovic - one more year after this season
Campbell would be an interesting keep but its his last year and I can get some good trade value.
Who should I keep? I was leaning on Samsonov and Nedeljkovic and trade Campbell out due to Mrazek being there for three years, but Mrazek is made of glass.
Thoughts? Thanks!

Not going to be as much pain in Toronto and Washington as there will be in Detroit.
Call me old one more time.

Campbell and Samsonov would be my choices. Detroit's history of badness and Ned's lack of history means he can't be recommended over the other two.
Thanks guys - was thinking I capitalize on getting something for Campbell but he is probably a safer bet than Andersen who I'm also keeping.
I don't think Campbell is a safe bet to be the starter for Toronto. Mrazek is a damn good goalie. He might have some personal issues, and he likes to be "the man", but that overconfidence is sometimes necessary in a starting goalie. I really think the role of starting goalie in Toronto is very much a horserace and in the long run I would put my money on Mrazek by a smidge.
Just wanted to put that out there.
As for your dilemma, I still feel Ned is likely the odd man out. The Detroit suck factor is just too strong for any goalie to overcome. At least with Campbell and Samsonov you have two talented net minders who are possible #1's on good teams.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree I am not 100% confident that Campbell will take over. Looking at my team I think I have to go for it anyway and Campbell will probably be more valuable to me this year than Ned.
Let's hope Ned ain't the next Vas or something under Yzerman's system...
Depends on what you can get. I do think that this is Campbell's peak value right now for his career so far. If the Campbell return is a significant skater, pick or both, I'd do that.

Best I can do is a 3rd round pick in a keep 8 (plus rookie) x 12 team for Campbell. Still a decent player from the draft.

Don’t forget about Greiss either… he was solid during fantasy playoff time last year playing for the winged tire fire!
