Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a non-keeper goalie for my Team 1. I'm competing and can't keep Kahkonen (who I like) so I want to trade him to a rebuilding team for a veteran goalie who will play more (points for wins, save, shutouts, minus 0.5 for goals against) . I want to avoid teams like Detroit or LA as they won't get a lot of wins. I'm looking at a few and would like to keep it at a one-for-one:
Fleury
Holtby
or one of the Arizona/San Jose goalies.
I doubt I'd get Holtby for an untested (but promising) goalie. Which would you think I should target? I think that Talbot will play most of the games for Minnesota and while I have Vasilevsky, I've got Shestkerin and Allen picking up the occasional game. My team is doing well but I'm lacking in GP for goalies.
I was looking at Fleury or holding onto Kahkonen and trading him in the off season, rotating the goalies to max out on GP. I either do really well or really badly in trades so I wanted second opinions.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure why you "can't" keep Kahkonen. He'll be under 164 GP.
I see these as qualifiers: Kaprizov, Shesterkin, Kahkonen, Norris, Tippett, Valimaki, Boqvist with maybe Pulj or someone else who gets hurt for the year real soon.

Tough one. I don't think I would want Fleury. Holtby maybe. I actually like Bernier a bit. And I guess guys like Blackwood, Saros, Markstrom, etc.. won't be available? Malcolm Subban an interesting one to me. Also Jack Campbell could have a good season backing up Anderson. Similarly I like Jake Allen. Arizona a tough situation. Raanta might be very cheap right now though and he could very well rebound after a poor season. I find the Dubnyk/Jones situation interesting too. Dubnyk has been such a terrific GK for some years now. Both Jones and Dubnyk have the talent to be real #1's. But that situation is hard to decipher on that team. I also like Hogberg in Ottawa a lot . But Murray is still a terrific GK and fairly young. I think Hog will get more playing time than some expect though in order to keep Murray healthy. Not sure if any of that helps. But it really depends on who is available and the price. If you could get more in a package deal with a more risky GK coming in return, could be worth it too.
