false speculation, taken from a speculative newspaper article. Luongo did not leave practice early, he only was there to participate in the first 1/3 of the practice anyway.
Those groins can be tricky for goalies.

Thanks for the clarification Angus! I hope Luongo\'s plan to come back on Saturday is still in the air.
As do I.
I\'ll post it as soon as I find anything, but nothing has been reported today, and with injuries no news is good news. (Or is it the other way around?)
He played in there 3 on 3 tourny, with no known complications
\"Injured captain Roberto Luongo participated in the first 20 minutes of the hour long mini-tournament, moving well in his crease. Following practice Vigneault told reporters that it is too soon to know whether Luongo will be ready to play this weekend.
“He’s been following a steady plan, steady progression. The plan is for him to practice on Friday. Every day is a step, there’s been improvement, and groins are tough areas for players and especially goaltenders. So, we’ll see how things continue to progress.
“Roberto is only going to come back when he is 100%. When he’s ready to play he’ll let us know.”

Nice work Angus. Glad I put a question mark at the end of my thread title. I had heard the same thing on RDS earlier this evening, but I guess they got it from TSN.false speculation, taken from a speculative newspaper article. Luongo did not leave practice early, he only was there to participate in the first 1/3 of the practice anyway.
I\'ll stay tuned. I\'m sure there\'s bound to be as much speculation as fact in the reporting of his injury.

Oh sure, I don\'t mind if he doesn\'t play this weekend as long as he come back 100%.
Thanks fellow westcoaster!
Him playing this weekend was media speculation anyway. The team said nothing about that and Lo said was that it was going well and he would see.
Seems like the media is making stories out of nothing this season even more so that I can remember. I think they\'re just pissed about the no injury disclosure so they\'re making a fuss so that it might change next season.
Get weel soon Luongo and get 100% well before you play again, none of this linger shit.

It is now being reported that he will practice Friday. There has been conflicting reports that he MAY have only be scheduled to practice for 20 mins, guess we will all see on Saturday or at least after the morning skate

Both Luongo and general manager Mike Gillis have downplayed the severity of the injury and ranges of when the goaltender might be back in the lineup - anywhere from four weeks to after the All-Star break.
