Khabibulin seemed hurt with what was a back strain? Probably more info tomorrow but had to leave the game
I have a question as well, with injuries, if a player is on IR does it affect their salary? He may be more tradable if his salary doesnt hit the cap space until he\'s back, or even for the hawk to go pick up nylander? anyways just some thoughts and I\'m sure both of them are overly optomistic!

Well if a player goes on IR their salary for that period is exempt in terms of calculating the cap hit. I am not so sure the Hawks should be too interested in trading Khabi if the injury is minor - he is playing extremely well - 25 shots with 1 ga in the first two periods against the Sharks is pretty awesome.

Anyone seen any update on Khabby and, more specifically, how long he\'ll be out? I keep hearing it is day-to-day and possible groin injury...let\'s all I know to date.
