His top 62 players

His top 3:
1. Rasmus Dahlin, D, Frolunda (SHL)
HT: 6-2 WT: 181 S: L
GP: 26 G: 1 P: 3 +/-: 4
2. Adam Boqvist, D, Byrnas (SWE-J20)
HT: 5-10 3/4 WT: 168 S: R
GP: 20 G: 4 P: 16 +/-: -1
3. Andrei Svechnikov, RW, Barrie (OHL)
HT: 6-1 1/2 WT: 188 S: L
GP: 48 G: 29 P: 58 +/-: 29
I've been lucky enough to get to see two of the top 15 in person for the Mooseheads last year and both kids are going to be rock solid. McIsaac (#6) on D is a beast. I've also seen Veleno (#9) quite a bit too. Another dandy prospect.

Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
Any early tier-ing that can be done on the top end talent?
Looks like the top-3 is separating themselves from the competition right now. It doesn't look likely that Boqvist would go ahead of Dahlin but perhaps it's possible they both go ahead of Svechnikov like Button has them - or maybe Svechnikov ends up going first as teams usually prefer taking a forward with the 1st overall pick. Others would need to pull some serious Hischier-like magic if they were to get into 1st overall consideration right now.
After that, I don't know. Looks like there might be a top-10 and a top-20 as usual but too early to tell for me.
^Thanks, that was the vibe I got on reading... a top three.
Always helpful for teams planning on passively tanking and on trading draft picks in/out.
The nice thing is that everyone in that top-3 is a very offensive player as well, so it should be the same story in fantasy hockey as well. Boqvist is maybe more of a traditional offensive D-man while Dahlin is a better all-around player but Dahlin is similarly good offensively, so he won't be forced to play in a defensive role because that's just not what he does. And Svechnikov is a goal-scoring machine in the Tarasenko mold, so all three should be high-end fantasy producers, and they should also get there quite quickly.
I'm fully expecting one center to force his way into the top-3 discussion just because of how important those players are to NHL teams but I'm not really sure who it will be. Maybe it's Kupari or Veleno if one of them really explodes offensively. Or maybe it's someone who isn't highly ranked yet.
Interesting to see Veleno ranked so low -- never been a fan of QMJHL prospects but from everything that I've read he is right in the mix with B. Tkachuk as a top 5 pick...

Did anyone else watch Bob McKenzies pre season draft rankings earlier this week? There seems to be plenty of undersized, offensive Dmen in the top 20 pre season rankings. It will be interesting to see how the year goes and who rises and falls this year.
