Pasternak deal?

GM in the league listed in my signature recently indicated that he's receiving offers for Pasternak when I inquired about the price tag he said that the current offer stands at a 25 goal scorer + NHL ready prospect + goalie prospect. What would you guys consider a fair offer to send based on my team in the signature below?

Well... by the "request" lines...
Patric Hornqvist is a good multi-cat player who has scored 22-25-22-21g in the last 4 years... that's close to a 25g pace.
NHL-ready prospect: I would try to offer Josh Anderson, who I don't think can repeat his good year.
Goalie prospect: I'd go with Ukko-Pekka, try to offer him up on the thought potential that BUF is going to be really, really good in 3-4 years (which they WILL be... but its a huge wildcard whether UPL will be the guy come that time)

Be prepared though, he'll probably want somebody younger for the "25g scorer" - so that may require Kreider.

Hornqvist/J.Anderson/UPL
Give that a try.
But be advised you'll likely have to increase to:
Kreider/J.Anderson/UPL
And if that can't get it done... then
Kreider/(Wing Prospect)/UPL

You could also try to offer Boone Jenner... who, two years ago, would've probably got the job done.
I'm a big Boone fan - because of his hard-nosed play and strong jaw-line - but he really doesn't have dynamic scoring skill.
Last season (18g,16a) was pretty disappointment - but more reflective of his actual talent level - he got stripped from 14ppp to 1ppp.
If Pastrnak-owner owned any CBJs in 15/16, you could offer Jenner, but if he pays attention to stats, you won't be able to sell Boone.

Josh Anderson and Ukko-Pekka are both on his team already my team is in the signature and I just listed his team at the bottom of the post so you guys could see what he was working with

Shit - sorry, I looked at the wrong list.

OK...
1. Include Zetterberg. He's on his last years and clearly the Pastrnak owner likes Red Wings (stockpile of their prospects + Tatar).
2. Offer Markstrom. He's got Demko, so this gives him a "wait starter" until Demko's ready... sell him on that.
3. Offer K.Kapanen... he's "NHL ready", but I think he may get buried with TOR's depth and fail to ever really get top minutes. Being the key Kessel-flip piece gives him high perceived value.
4. And offer one of Nurse or G.Reinhart. To be honest, I think both are going to mostly irrelevant in fantasy for next 2-3 years - but this part is more that he goes "OH! I'll take Nurse!"

What do you think about that?
I'm not sure if you feel that's TOO MUCH to offer...
By the looks of his roster - I'd say he's pretty sharp fantasy hockey guy, so you ARE going to have to dangle some goods that some people value highly.

yeah, i think Pengwin's about right. If I were the other manager though, I wouldn't take Zetterberg (doesn't hurt to start there). It would take Kreider + Markstrom + Kapanen.

Be prepared for a counter though - Pastrnak is at high value right now. It will be a harder decision if he asks for JVR.

He replied back indicating he had better offers and wants kuzy I'm not crazy for balking at that correct. I replied back with it would need to be Pasternak + to get Kuznetsov involved.

Usually... when a GM uses a phrase like "receiving offers" (as you say in OP)...
It can be translated as:
"This player is going to highest bidder, price won't be cheap - because I've already got a good offer and am trying to see if I can get more."

And that - usually means he's going to make you pay through the nose.
I don't join in on these kinds of public player auctions.

Kuznetsov is too much.

I tried again before bowing out with a Kreider, Markstrom, Nurse, and Kapanen deal that he turned down then this morning he accepts the following with another manager.....

Is it just me being sour grapes or am I right in thinking my deal was better and/or if any negotiating was done past I have better my team has the ability to match in my prospect pool? This one stings a bit for me.

yeah, he made a bad trade. Your offer was a lot better IMO.

For what its worth, I would have done Kuznetsov given the state of your RW's and with SOG as a category.

Well, I will say I'm a big fan of Rick Rakell... and Christian Dvorak gets big love from certain people.
Maybe this guy is a "West Coast" hockey fan?!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Rakell was tearing it up on a line with Getzlaf and Eaves to end the year last year. There are some HUGE LOVERS of Dvorak. And some believe Dipietro will be the best goalie out of this draft class.

To be honest, I'm not super high on Markstrom, Nurse or Kapanen.

The part that baffles me is throwing in Comrie....

I guess what kills me the most was that my offer was a starting point and all I got back was what about kuzy and when I said it would take more than just Pasternak he balked and then negotiations were out the window. I had pieces that I'd have moved but nothing was negotiated guess I'm just bitter at losing out on a deal. I don't see Rakell repeating his 19% shooting. I get Dvorak love but he's far from a known commodity at this point and then you add to the deal from your end for some reason? Just don't see it oh well
