I've actually been wanting to speculate on the text itself: covfefe.
I have two theories (and some know I like conspiracy theories):
Theory #1: He meant to spell "covered"... and missed on the last four key strokes. Both F-E-F-E and E-R-E-D are in the same pointer/middle-LH zone of the keyboard. Then he realized his error, tried to hit backspace, and hit send or post or whatever ye twitter persons do.
Theory #2: It was intentional. [Conspiracy Theory]
People mock the bumbling idiot... but, for all Republicans perceived shortcomings (I'm a moderate), I'd venture that - in general - Republicans are ahead in the manipulation of social media data collection.
I read 3-4 articles yesterday out of interest on Hilary stating the DNC didn't have the data support that the RNC/Trump backers had. Super interesting stuff for those that will consider that we are now unknowingly under the influence from third parties.
FWIW, I started here:
1. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features...-over-edition/ (great read for those that like stats, politics, AND fantasy sports!!!)
went here:
2. https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/a...lped-trump-win
The strength of their modeling was illustrated by how well it could predict a subject's answers. Kosinski continued to work on the models incessantly: before long, he was able to evaluate a person better than the average work colleague, merely on the basis of ten Facebook "likes." Seventy "likes" were enough to outdo what a person's friends knew, 150 what their parents knew, and 300 "likes" what their partner knew. More "likes" could even surpass what a person thought they knew about themselves. On the day that Kosinski published these findings, he received two phone calls. The threat of a lawsuit and a job offer. Both from Facebook.
...
Only weeks later Facebook "likes" became private by default. Before that, the default setting was that anyone on the internet could see your "likes." But this was no obstacle to data collectors...
ended up here:

Now - socio-analytics data collectors know exactly how much people are interested in chatting about "political non-sense" (i.e. "COVFEFE") vs. chatting about actual serious political topics.
