I think it actually deflected in off Pageau.

We may not see Notch again until the fall.

I think so too but it's definitely not a case of their system failing. Every team has players defend in front of the net and they all try to block shots. Someone had to win that game.

If their #1D and #1G were healthy it would have been a lopsided series.

Sens showed they could beat the Pens, a different bounce and they would have ended up in the final right now.

No need to complain about reffing, it's no different than the regular season it's just magnified now since it's the playoffs. The reffing wasn't one sided at all, both sides had missed calls.

Poor Notch...went from a dream matchup and $1200 to nothing. Really hope he hedged that bet.

    Great game and great series.

    I didn't hedge my bet.

The Sens will be so much better next year with White and Chabot. Be ready for them to win the East next year. This was just the beginning.

IF... yes... lots of people are saying IF Letang was healthy they would have won in 3.... but IF Kadri hadn't taken out Ovy's knee... then what?

There is always going to be IFs hahah And for every IF that favours your team there is an equal and opposite IF then opposes your team.

I didn’t mean their system was failing. I mean they’re system is outside shots and when it’s inside block it. Pageau went for the block (prolly would for any other team tho), but it went off him (or screened the goalie). That’s the negative of blocking shots, you better get the block or you’re just screening your goalie.

....it was boring Elliotte. So boring. Stop jerking off the NHL. Man the Canadian media is really starting to annoy me but that topic is for another day.

Congrats to the Sens. What a run. Not many people thought they could make it this far.

I am glad that style won't be in the Cup Final though. The Sens nearly perfected the "art" of flipping the puck out to the red line but not getting an icing. Although anyone who watched would know that Pittsburgh also had that down pat vs the Capitals. I guess that's the new way to play again team's that are outplaying you.

    Onto the Cup.
This narrative I can't understand. Like 5 total minutes of excitement in a 60 minute game and every Canadian MSM tweets "See not boring". Like shut the f*** up. If a shitty movie had a sweet 5 minute battle scene you'd still call it a shitty movie.

Counter: Anderson will be 37, Phaneuf and Methot will be another year older, and Burrows. Hopefully the can bring some of their younger talent and play a more NHL caliber style though.

And maybe they lose Ryan to the expansion...

A lot of fans feel this way after their team comes close. The reality is usually a lot harsher. Gotta take advantage of the chances that present themselves.

    2016 Conference Finalists:
    Penguins, Lightning, Blues, SJS.
1 team repeated, 1 team got knocked out in the 1st round, 1 team knocked out in the 2nd round, 1 team wasn’t even in the playoffs in 2017.

Funny, Metro2 (Penguins) faced Atlantic2 (TBL and Sens) in back-to-back years….

Just because you got there this year doesn’t mean you will next yr.
