Two solid games in a row for Price.
If that's the trigger then it's another example of hockey management groups having thin skin.

What's your take on the Habs current goalie pipeline?
Price
Montoya
Lindgren
Fucale
McNiven
Teams like Washington, NYR and Columbus keep getting deeper in goal even though they have an elite starter at the moment. Do you guys feel that the Habs have the right guys at the moment or will they start focusing on their goalies in the next draft(s)/trades?
The way I see it, it's Price who's elite, Lindgren who should be a solid backup and McNiven who can be a special piece in a few years time. I don't think Montoya is anything more than a decent filler and Fucale's ship may have sailed (even with a good Spengler Cup run earlier this year).
Keeper league 14 teams (H2H, 20 active players keep 16 NHLers, 16 minors)
Scoring Cats: G-A-PTS-PPG-PPA-(+/-)-HITS-BLK-SHP-SOG-FOW-GWG / W-L-SVS-SV%-GAA-SO
C- Crosby, Barzal, Bennett, Schmaltz, Cooley, Novak
W- Forsberg, Batherson, Nichuskin, Tuch, Konecny, Maccelli, Sharangovich, Bertuzzi, Kaliyev, Neighbours, Reichel
D- Carlson, Rielly, Klingberg
G- Hellebuyck, Demko, Merzlikins, Vejmelka
Minors:
F: Fantilli, Bourgault, Perreault, Cowan, Ohgren, N. Foote, Goyette, Iskhakov, Denisenko, Tracey
D: Simashev, Willander, Lambos
G: Schmidt, Rodrigue, DiPietro, Gaudreau, McKay
I don't really have an issue with the goalie pipeline. I'm glad they've added to it in recent years after having next to nothing. Montoya is what he is and Lindgren has some potential. I'm not high on Fucale and McNiven is several years away. Revisit them in 2019.
I would continue adding to the pipeline but I prefer going the UDFA route like they did with McNiven. The older they are when they are signed the more we know about them. Drafting them at 18 is such a gamble.

Ya, I agree with the undrafted player route. It just hit me yesterday when the Caps aquired Copley. They have Holtby, Grubauer, Vanecek, Samsonov, A. Carlson, J. Cannata and now Copley... I see 3 with starter potential (Grubauer, Samsonov, Vanecek) and the rest as backups.

Wonder where Ott & Davidson slide into the line-up, pending any other changes today.
Ott - 13th forward or regular on the 4th with Mitchell/Flynn?
I'm gonna guess Davidson is the 7th D-man?

This Dwight King acquisition is just another Devante Smith-Pelly. We need to get bigger so let's find a big dude to play on the 3rd or 4th line so that we're actually bigger but not actually better. Urgh...Don't like it at all.
