Backstrom vs Toffoli

Hey all, stuck trying to decide my second center for this week, Backstrom or Toffoli. Backstrom is playing great but only 2 games this week. Toffoli plays 3 games and I already have Carter to pair with him. Thoughts? Team and league setup in sig.

It's close enough where I'd go with Toffoli because he plays more games.

Even if Backstrom played 1 games I would dress him over Toffoli. Especially now that he has 11 point sin 8 games or something.

Roster Backstrom every week, kick your feet up and smile.

I would play Backstrom here too. Pretty decent matchups and WSH has been on a roll.

This is just like playing the stock market... short-term emotional decisions vs long-term logic, and just like the stock market, logic wins in the long run (ie: a full season).

Backstrom would have to to be projected to score 50% more points than Toffoli over the course of a full season for it to make sense starting him in a 2v3 game scenario. Backstrom is better, but he's not 50% better.

On top of that, factor in the format which favors heavy-shooting Toffoli and I think it's a no brainer.

Toffoli and Backstrom both have 5 points in their last 5, so the "Backstrom's hot" argument is a wash.

Thanks for the replies, I'm going to roll the dice with Toffoli. Like Blayze pointed out, I need Toffoli's high shot count for the week. Backstrom doesn't take take much in comparison and with only 2 games this week his total will be quite low most likely.
