His annual Xmas vacation
When's he's healthy he's right behind EK and Burns. He can dominate a game like few others.

What a ****ing joke this guy is...
Such venom spat at a guy who consistently puts up top five numbers for a dman in fantasy DESPITE missing 10-15 games per season.
He's a stud but has the caveat of usually missing some time. If you can't handle that, don't draft or trade for him. If you can handle it, enjoy the production and have a suitable replacement for when he is on the shelf.
His 60+ points coupled with 5-8 from his replacement during injuries is a hell of a lot more than you get from the majority of offensive defenders who play a full 82 games.

Never again will I draft him in a fantasy league. NEVER. It's a shallow league, so I could replace him with John Carlson, but still.
Off the top of my head, I can only think of Hemsky and Gaborik as bigger band-aid boys. He's certainly top 5.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
Still surprised so many owners get so angry over this, it's one of those death and taxes type certainties. I don't own him this year but have in previous seasons and I always have to admit that he is worth the wait.

This is probably a blessing in disguise as he came back good as ever after last season's Xmas break. Hey let's admit it...as far as points go he wasn't really putting up as we expected after the second half of last season and playoffs. 2 goals so far ?? When Schultz is sitting with like 5 and almost as many assists! I think the break will do him good ... As well for us poolies in the end.
Enjoy Shultz fans and let's get another look at Pouliot as well!
Just because he's injury prone doesn't mean owners can't be frustrated when it happens. Especially when he's already been injured earlier this season.
What'd you expect us to do, throw a party?
Well the good news is Pitt doesn't play between Dec 31 and Jan 8. And with no games Dec 23 - 27. The impact is going to be small. Perhaps it's a small nagging injury and they're just shutting him down for a couple to make sure he's fully charged for the final 45.

Letang's been putting up some points, but just doesn't seem totally right since his last return. Lets hope that shutting him down will do more good overall for the rest of the season.
