Not super high on Trochek myself and don't see him getting significantly better. Werenski on the other hand has some massive upside and is the player I'd keep.
Im having a tough time deciding between who to keep out of these two guys. Its for the league in my sig. We have a 170 GP limit for skaters and 70 for goalies to be rookie status. Once they hit that limit they become a vet and take up a regular roster spot. My other keepers as of now are Murray, Parayko, Connor and Aho
Last year Trochek was huge for Trochek. He put up serious points and really developed into a solid 2nd line center. Do you guys see him progressing next year or did he possibly over-achieve? He would be a valuable player if he continues to put up the same production. Im torn though because Werenski seems like he could be the real deal and realistically should be getting decent minutes this year.
Who would you guys keep?
Thanks so much!

I am a huge fan of Trocheck, the guy has tremendous skill and I think he can step it up to another level, he would be my pick.

I'd be tempted to keep both over Aho but looking at your team I'd say if you were set on these two I'd want the d man over the c based on what you already have
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Touch call as I like both kids.
I'd probably keep Trocheck over Werenski but I dont think it matters who you keep or drop, you are going to hate the decision.

This is definitely a tough call as many have said. Your team should be competitive right now so I think I would go with keeping Trochek. Werenski has Murray standing in his way so I doubt that he will make a huge impact for a little while.
Trocheck. Easy call.

Trocheck easily. 23 years old and scored 25 goals in 76 games. Until Werenski proves himself at the NHL level I'll go with the proven guy right now.
I would even take Trocheck over Aho but would keep Werenski over Aho
i'm not convinced yet that trocheck is the real deal. bjugstad's gonna push him for the 2nd line center job, and i think bjugstad will take it eventually this season. werenski is gonna be a stud. i'd go with him.
Trochek is my pick. Any way you could trade either to get a return for the future or upgrade a current position?

Im currently thinking about trading Trocheck but my biggest problem is I dont want to directly trade him to a contender in case he does continue to put up decent numbers. Werenski surprisingly has little trade value in our league but most guys dont do their research on guys until its too late. (I was able to add all of my other rookie keepers other than Parayko once I got eliminated from our playoffs) Its also possible that I might be able to re-draft him at 8 but thats not a guarantee and I would hate to see him breakout on a different team.
