If it's a league that is points only, I prefer Shore.

If it's multi-cat, give me Paul.

I think Shore is the long-term replacement for Spezza in a few years as their 2C.

I think it's more Dickinson who should replace Spezza.

I'd probably go with Nick Paul here.

I will second, or is that third, or fourth, the Nick Paul vote.

I think you'll be disappointed if you go with that train of thought. I am not saying Dickinson isn't a solid prospect but Shore is already a full-time NHL player who's biding his time and earning his stripes with the big club. If I am not mistaken, he's also ranked as their top prospect coming up, although he's almost to the point where they are no longer calling him a prospect either. Dickinson is behind Shore as far as the Stars are concerned for depth.

Dickinson might be a little behind short-term but I think long-term he jumps over Shore. But one of them could also play wing long-term. And Shore isn't a full-time NHL player, he has only played a total of 3 NHL games so far.

I would probably go with Nick Paul here, although since Thompson is a recent 1st round pick, you could get more in a trade with him. Based on how the Senators used Paul, he might be destined for middle-six tweener role instead of a top-six role. Or even bottom-six role; I didn't like how he was used this past season. But I really like him as a player.
