The deal which I've heard before is Hall and 4 for Subban and 9.
I could see PK doing very well on the oilers but don't see how Montreal could recover from losing him despite adding Hall
In Montreal there is a lot of noise recently that there is a big trade coming for the Habs.
PK Subban could be the player going in that trade. Apparently MBergevin is receiving a lot of phone calls for him in the recent hours.
But where would he land? Let's talk trade and imagine where he could go.
What if Subban was traded to the Jets for Trouba, Ehlers and a pick?

I think there is more of a chance Malkin gets traded than Subban and I believe there is zero chance that Malkin gets moved. Like I said yesterday, these rumors are getting silly.
Hey, maybe we will see a 4 way trade between Chicago, Montreal, Pittsburgh and Edmonton. lol

With noone to step into his role, trading Subban creates a bigger hole than it fills. Doesn't make much sense for the Habs.

GM: YOU'RE FIRED!
Trading Taylor Hall, one of the few truly elite wingers in the NHL on one of the absolute best cost-controlled contracts in the NHL would be an absolute travesty. Imagine if Chiarelli traded both Tyler Seguin and Taylor Hall.

Can people please stop calling Taylor Hall elite? He's not one of the best 4 Canadian left wingers in the NHL. He's also not one of the top 13 Canadian forwards. How many times does he have to not be selected for a Canadian National team in best on best tournaments for people to realize that Taylor Hall's 200 foot game is not good enough for him to be an elite player.
He's one of the best players in the NHL on the rush. He's not great at sustained offensive zone play, he's terrible in his own zone and backchecking, he's below average (for a top line player) on the PP. Add those all up and he's not even close to an elite NHL forward.

Is it out of the question to think Hall plus Yakupov plus the 4th for Subban plus Scherbak or Lehkonen plus the 9th? Too lopsided??? Sending 2 former 1st overall picks?
