That is a good cover, but I am just partial to New Order's version - having the orig played during my club going days. It's my understanding Blue Monday was written by newly formed New Order as a sort of cathartic release following the suicide death of original band member and Joy Division vocalist Ian Curtis.
I forgot about this one. I also much prefer the NO version, but they are in my top-ten all-time artists so there's that. There's a few good songs post-80's (Regret, Crystal, maybe a couple more), but their first decade is legendary as far as I'm concerned. I don't even want to talk about anything they are doing now. Shhhhhh....please.
