Is it always this quiet?

The hockey discussions and threads in this section are slow lately. I spent some time at Hockey's Future this week and there are lots of discussions happening about the playoffs and league news. Over 20 threads started daily with hundreds of posts.

Is it always this slow here? Is there a time of year when there is more buzz.

One quick off topic question, how do I add an logo or picture on my profile like a lot of you guys have?

Just speaking for myself, this time of year is time to relax, just watch hockey and enjoy. Fantasy season ended, time to breathe.

I see. Lots of good knowledge here, was hoping for more action I guess. Really enjoying the hockey's future threads. Some typical homers there but overall there are some great hockey minds too.

Any one here also on those forums?

Dobber isn't close to as busy as HFBoards basically ever. But there's fewer petty arguments here and people generally get along. It can be pretty quiet here at times (especially weekends) but there's always posts tricking in. I just hit the "New Posts" tab to see whatever is new in the forum regardless of which sub it's in.

Fantasy hockey dominates the threads here, in my opinion, and many of the leagues ended with the completion of the NHL's regular season.

Still the best fantasy hockey forum out there IMO, great community but yes, has been slow right now. Many take a break after the fantasy season is over, it will pick back up june/july when new leagues start forming etc.

- select Edit Profile
- select Edit Avatar (under My Settings on left side of screen)
- select Custom Avatar, upload and save.

I have an awesome playoff league going on on Fantrax. Basically the same settings as regular season except the rosters are smaller and you have to guess who will advance and hedge your roster best accordingly.

I recommend everyone to get into playoff leagues, they're actually pretty fun.

Lots of knowledge here for sure when it comes to fantasy hockey, but I love talking general hockey too and this is very low volume board compared to HF.

People do seem to get along here, so that's good.

There are plenty of threads that got started today from people asking for advice. Feel free to generate action on your own by giving your opinion on their questions. Generally, the more people reply, the more action it will get, which generates more action, and so on, and so on....

Simply click the "new posts" tab up top on the left and check out all the new ones you haven't read yet, or simply haven't replied to yet. Either way, there's plenty of action waiting for you there.
