Goalie - Drafting Now. Help requested.

I'm drafting in a salary cap league (drafting today for next season) where 1 goalie can be played per day. H2H league - Cats are Saves, Shutouts, Wins, GAA and SV%.

I have no goalie yet. Its time to select a goalie. I have plenty of $$$. Salary is equal to NHL actual salary.

Here are my choices, ranked by descending order of wins:

Niemi
Elliot
Ward
Greiss
Condon
Johnson (BUF)
Ramo
Neuvirth
Miller
Reimer
Smith (AZ)
Bobrovsky
Bernier
Pavelec
JF Berube

p.s. I drafted some prospects already... I know bad move. I have Thatcher Demko and Malcolm Subban for the future.

I wouldn't have taken either of those prospects until the last two picks - or I'd even leave them until next year's draft. But what's done is done.

You want Elliott since it's a daily start league and when he starts (ie. half the games) he's gold. Then Bobrovsky. Then Lehtonen over Niemi IMO. After that it's a crap shoot, I'd consider Ramo because as a UFA he could be boom or bust

Like Dobber, I question the decision to draft two prospect goalies over at least one established goaltender. But, as he said, what is done is done.

I like Bobrovsky, as he will likely get the most starts if he can stay healthy, then either Lehtonen or Niemi (but again agree with Dobber about preferring Lehtonen), followed by Greiss who I think has earned more starts. I don't trust St. Louis to keep up the even splitting of tender duties between Eliott and Allen, and expect Eliott to get fewer starts.
