Re: Kopitar, Evander Kane for Kucherov, Skinner and Nurse
That's a tough call.
I'm wondering why he's trading Evander Kane when he's only 24 himself.
While I do agree with Pengwin that Nurse is one of your rookie keepers, I like this deal for you.
In a league that counts hits, Evander Kane is money (although Band-Aid boy status). He has great offensive upside - similar to Kucherov - but with the Hits to boot. I prefer Kopitar over both Skinner and Nurse.
For the future, you still have a young option with Kane, and Kopitar will still be solid. - If you even decide to keep either of them. The only definite keeper you're losing is Nurse.
For this year I think Kopitar and Kane will out point the other 3 combined - again, hoping that Kane stays healthy....but I like to gamble on that. I would rather gamble on Kane staying healthy than Skinner bouncing back and who knows what Nurse will end up being....If you make this deal I'm sure there's another rookie out there that could fill in.
I would make this deal whether it was for this year or next.
