I am quite curious about the status of Puempel. I have him in a number of leagues, he clearly has game but do the Sens have a spot for him ?
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
It appears to be one of Prince or Puempel at this point as Neil is a shoe in

So I only saw the last period of last site's game plus OT, and none of the first game, but what i saw last night of Cowan was cringe-worthy and suggests he is the same liability he was last year. That backhanded pass behind net that almost gave game away in the final minute was a classic. Has anyone seen an improvement? I realize he's plus one over two games but i don't put a lot of stock in that stat, it was just luck that he didn't get a minus in the play i mentioned.
I really hope Ryan's shootout goal, which was so sweet, gives him a confidence boost.

Is Clark MacArthur still relevant?
He's been banged up with head injuries.

just saw this. Disagree, I think he's been very good as a third pairing d this year having watched all the games. He's keeping it simple, playing physical. Yeah there are some giveaways but he's the third pairing d. He's definitely been better than Wiercioch so far. He's definitely improved especially his moblity. Not a star or anything, just solid. I tank Wiercioch might get benched sooner rather than later.
Sens are averaging almost 4 goals per game but not against any good defensive teams so far so when do the wheels come off the bandwagon?

Top 7 Ev? You think? There are some crazy offensive powerhouses in the league, I don't see the Sens quite in that level of teams. I could see somewhere in the lower top half of the league (10-15th range) but I look around the league and see Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, NY (both teams), Washington

What do we think is a reasonable target/upside for Zibanijad this year. He's a FA in my pool and I'm kind of tempted. He's got 7 in 7 despite playing with a natural scorer who can't put the puck in the net. If -- big if -- Ryan can get his act together is Zib a 60-plus guy? Obviously that line won't be facing the other team's top checkers anytime soon.

i think he'll get around 55. He doesn't play top PP so I don't see 60+. It is a good, or odd, sign that he has 7 points when he hasn't been good outside of maybe one game.
I don't think it's an if that Ryan gets going on the scoresheet. He's getting his chances, in the right spots defensively and looking good the last few games (the line as a whole was great last night). Also Hoffman might be hurt so he could play with Turris next game. Ryan is just more of a playmaking forward at the moment (he isn't shooting a lot) and I would say Zibanejad's play brought down the line for many of the games as he is still rounding into form as well. I think the Sens should stick Ryan with Turris and Stone for a long stretch to see how they look.
I think he'll get somewhere over 50 points
