How Much Is Price Worth

An owner in my league is ok to trade Price. He wants a star in return... We were unable to keep 2 goalies this summer unless one of those two goalies was under 200gp (a contingency rule because we just moved to a start-two goalie league). Because of the rule change, I traded Nicklas Backstrom(F) for Ben Bishop to solidify the position.

Price is one of my favourite players, but I'm wondering what he is worth to me, in my league. There are just the two categories for goalies. The other owner keeps asking after Giroux and isn't terribly interested in Rask. I've been toying with offering Rask + Giroux for Price + Johansen, but I'm not sure I want to deal Giroux at all. Kucherov could be another option. I've also toyed with offering just Giroux for Price straight and finding another taker for Rask.

This is all a bit confusing, but I'm curious if anyone on here can help me sort out how much I should want Price, and what price I should be willing to pay.

You missed out on a good title : "what is the price of price?"

Even with just two categories, Price in your league last year was worth over 100 points. He might not repeat that kind of season this year, but he'll be close.

Given your kind of stringent Goalie keeper rules, you get more value from stockpiling elite forward talent I suppose?

Btw your team looks quite good already haha.

Haha - thank you - I had strong keepers. Would have maybe looked even better with Backstrom in there too, but labrum surgeries make me gunshy.
Next year, we can keep any two goalies, so Bishop + Price would be a no brainer.
Given that I can keep both, maybe I should go for a deal here?
