Wayne Simmonds out for the year
He got hit by a shot in the foot (it looked like) as he was screening Crawford late in the game.
Could barely put weight on it as he struggled to get to the bench. Pierre McGuire asked him if he was going to be ok and he got an indifferent answer. No word on if that meant "I hate you" or not.
Simmonds missed his final shift.
No update yet, just wanted to get this out there as it looked bad to me.

I've sent Tweets to Fantrax and emails about putting him on the IR because everyone knows he is done for the year. No luck. He's still taking up space on my roster and he is a keeper so yup, I and we, are all SOL I think.

Talk to your commissioner, there is an option to put any red-flagged player on the IR. That way you don't need to wait for the NHL teams and get screwed in the meantime.
To keep the IR from getting abused as a place to stash players a time limit can be added for when a player gets activated. Ours is at one week, at least that way a GM has time to make a trade or whatever they need to do to reactivate the player.
Just a thought.
