Default Need to trade Giordano to keep the pace - HELP!

Points only, team and league in sig
Already 4 gms contacted me to know if I'm willing to move Giordano.
I'm in first with the 2nd place right behiend me.
I think I can handle the loss of Giordano with my depth at D.
I need to find some depth at F.
One gm already offered me 3. So that will be my asking price. 3 non-keeper F from teams out of contention.
I listed some potential targets from those 4 teams.
Wich 3 would you want the most from each team and in what order would you rank those packages?

Team B is willing to trade, if I accept, he will. He made the initial offer.
Team C also. Wants to think about it until tomorrow, but said 90% it's a yes.
Team A isn't sure. Finds the asking price a little high...

A or C would be my picks:

    Simmonds/Bergeron/Stastny or Kadri/Backes/Foligno.

In points only, I think I'd go with the Backes offer (Assuming that it's Nick Foligno and not Marcus)

    Yeah it's Nick.
You would go with Kadri over Vermette ROS?

It's close on me for Kadri vs. Vermette. I think Kadri has the higher upside in points only, but it's hard to say how Chicago is going to use Vermette. They very well could use him as more of a PK/defensive zone specialist with minimal PP time. He's in the better situation and surrounded by more talent though.

I's definitely go Foligno/Backes and then whatever your gut says about Kadri/Vermette, I think ROS they will have similar production anyways.

I'd take deal c, and go with Foligno, Backes and Cammy. You're not keeping any of the three, and it's points only. Cammy should get more points than the others the rest of the way.

Vermette would be close as well.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

    Down to two possibilities.
    Foligno-Backes-Vermette
    Or
Bergeron-Iginla-Filppula (in a three way deal)
I like the 1st one better for Foligno to end the season.

Honestly, with weekly lineup changes, I don't like any of the options all that much. You get small upgrades, if at all, to your top 9 forwards in exchange for a valuable keeper defenseman.

I mean, Ribeiro/Ladd/Plekanec/MacArthur are your weakest links for your top 9 forwards. Ladd and Ribeiro are doing fine and I don't think you're upgrading them in this trade. So you're upgrading Plekanec and MacArthur, who are about 50sih point guys, to two 60-65ish point guys. Over the remaining 20 games, that's going from 12.2 points to about 15.5 points, for a grand total of 6.6 points for the rest of the season. Is 6.6 points really going to make or break you?

I don't really know the dynamics of your league, but if you think 6.6 points is the difference between first and second from here on out, then I would take Bergeron/Iginla/Filppula, I still don't trust Foligno to finish at his current pace, and Vermette and Backes are barely upgrades. I would ask for more or sit tight.

    Thanks for the reply!
Yes 6 points could be valuable.
I don't like keeping D, and if I would to keep one, I think it would be Josi.
So trading Giordano for some points is the goal here.
We dress 9 F a week. To maximize games played it's a good thing to have more than 9 capable players. Bench the 2-game, dress the 4-game.
Like you, I'm a bit afraid of Foligno...

If that's the case, then I like Bergeron/Iginla/Filppula to give you a better opportunity at maximizing points. Backes and Vermette don't really add the depth you're looking for as I don't expect them to outperform your current depth by all that much.
