Kane for 1st (McDavid) +? REP

Hey guys,

i was thinking about trying to move my injured Kane for last places first overall plus another piece.

What would the plus be if there is even a plus? If i got the pick i could potentially make a play for another top notch player for the stretch as i'm in first.

His notables: Toews, Mackinnon, Shattenkirk, Krejci, Ryan, Drouin, Quick

My team is pretty solid so this isn't a move i should be forced into - thought i'd see what you guys thought...

If you are rebuilding, and he is guaranteed to get McDavid, he might expect you to add another piece.

Odd's are good he'll finish last but the picks not guaranteed. It'd be a lottery including the bottom 3 teams 6/3/1 odds if I'm not mistaken.

Unless it's gauranteed McDavid, I wouldn't do it. Especially in a Keep 6.

I wouldn't go in with Kane first. The 1st overall pick has been traded in both of my leagues and neither required a player as big as that. McDavid's ceiling appears to be higher than Kane's, but still, try to pay less.

No way I traded an above PPG player (was leading Art Ross race) for an unproven commodity, even a talent like McDavid. Yes he COULD be the next Crosby, but he COULD also be the next Daigle (or even MacKinnon the way he has struggled this year so far).

I always take the sure thing vs the potential. And that has led me to several titles.
