Ya, Bozak and JvR are the two worse players in hockey…sure.....
Also he did move Kessel to be with Kadri often last year; Kadri just wasn’t defensive enough to make up for the mistakes. So a lot of odd-man rushes went the other way. JvR was moved off the top line the last 2-3 weeks, and onto Kadri’s line. The fact Santorelli was there to back checks hard helps out for kadri and JvR to do their thing. Bozak won draws and covered defensively for the top line, he’s also a straight line player, which meshes with Kessel.
The article was more of a rant than anything. There weren’t any points on how Kessel isn’t a coach killer. It was more of a bash on JvR and Bozak. The simple answer to why Carlyle was fired was his style was outdated, and he didn’t change. Players stopped listening, and it happens. I saw it last year when the team rather watch a streaker than listen to him during a timeout.
