Kucherov is basically putting up PPG playing on the 2nd line with no Stamkos and little PP time to speak of. That's unbelievable.

Imagine what he could do WITH those opportunities.

You want further evidence of how good this kid has been... Check out his average ice time compared to others who are scoring at his pace.

    YUP! Kid seems pretty special.

Grab him if he's available in your league and hang on tight !

Not sure why he gets limited PP time. He's been a creative force wherever he's played, and drives offence. 5x5 play is understandable. Coaches have an aversion to depending on 21 year old kids, especially if they hold a Russian passport. If he gets increased PP time he could be a legit PPG player as early as next year. Not counting on it though. I own him in my league and I've got pegged as a 55 point player this year and a 60 point player for next year. Really hope I'm being pessimistic.

Cooper likes to keep lines together on the PP (exception now is Killorn who plays on Stamkos line but not on top PP) and so Kucherov-Johnson-Palat gets only 2nd PP duties.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

That's how I interpreted it too. I wanted to get a bigger name and flip him (trying to consolidate talent in a keep 6 not listed in my sig). I'm thinking the guy either hasn't been following Kucherov OR acknowledges that he can't give up his biggest name despite Kucherovs strong start (his team is a major rebuild project).

I agree I didnt plan on being able to keep him so I just took a flyer on him in draft late and now I think I will be not keeping Marchand and keeping Kucherov with my final roster place now....as long he continues

Absolutely. Barring a total collapse, Kucherov is a far better keep.

TBH I'd rather have Kucherov than Eberle moving forward.

Yeah, a couple weeks later from that post that gap has narrowed even more. Kucherov has kept it up and Eberle and the Oil continue to struggle.
