Bye Week Conundrum

Hey Everyone,

Need some advice. Russell Wilson is on by this week. I have a very close match up this week which could go either way. Need to pick up a QB. Looking at dropping P. Thomas and picking up Cousins to replace Wilson for the week. Khiry Robinson is still available in the league so after this week I can always drop cousins and pick up Robinson.

Good idea? Any other suggestions looking at my lineup?

Guess my question is, "is dropping Thomas not that big of a deal?" I don't think it is... he is replacable (with Robinson) and have a good RB team. Was worried about dropping Thomas and not getting anything in return aside a QB for one week.

I don't love dropping Thomas for nothing, but it's not the end of the world in a 10 team non-PPR setting. Out of curiosity though, who are your reserve WRs? Anyone who you can drop there to accommodate the QB bye week replacement?

Reserve WR are Benjamin and Cooks.

5 WR; V. Jackson, Patterson, Benjamin, Cooks and Williams.

I'd probably drop Terrance Williams for Cousins, and then look to add someone like Hawkins/Quick/Robinson/Matthews after the bye.

Agree with this. I think dropping Williams rather than Pierre Thomas is the way to go.

Exactly; there are a plethora of WR options probably available. I wouldn't mind grabbing a guy like Jordan Matthews or Allen Robinson if need be. Quick/Hawkins would be better, imo.

Thanks guys for the input. Quick update.

So Cousins was picked up before my waiver wire claim. Ended up dropping T. Williams for Eli Manning. Manning is playing a shaky Washington secondary and has had some decent fantasy stat lines in the first 3 games. Other consideration was Bortles playing a tough Chargers defense, although giving up about 18 fantasy points per game to QBs this season.

Going to stay with Manning for this week.
