We are dropping the pick announcements now, and just going at high-speed. The article should be up by tomorrow night, which means the draft has to get done!
The Vancouver Canucks will pick Conner Bleackley with the 36th pick of the draft. It was between him and Brayden Point, and while it would be easy to not pick point because of another recent undersized draft pick, it is more because I like Bleakley better. I see him as a second round talent that will likely be taken in the first round because of grit. I like his value at this point, and if character helps him excel, then it will be even better!
Point has better upside, but I think Bleakley can turn into a two-way second-line forward.
