    Default Patrik Nemeth

I'm not expecting big fantasy value from this guy, but does he have a future as an NHL regular? I know he got some games in at the end of the season and in the playoffs, but does he have a legitimate shot at a full-time job this year or next? Good chance of being a second pairing guy some day, or no? Thanks.

Most Stars fans have him penciled into the lineup for next season. Should start on the third pairing and could see a good career as a second pairing guy in the near future. However, similar to Brenden Dillon, don't expect to receive too much offense out of him (apart from the amazing cup winning OT goal he scored last night!).

I'm thinking he'll be a depth (third pairing) dman in the years that are relevant to us fantasy folks.

With the Rome buyout Nemeth has a really strong shot to be on the NHL roster next year. He'll likely battle for the sixth spot with Connauton and Oleksiak but he's better defensively right now than either of them. I predict Oleksiak is sent back for more seasoning while Nemeth and Connauton fill out the seven D on Dallas.

... until Dallas signs three D in free agency and blows my theory away
