Ryan should bounce back, but it will be interesting to see who the Sens get in return for Spezza who wants out of Ottawa.
B. Ryan
B. Wheeler
M. Pacioretty
Based on our scoring which is pretty detailed (see signature for summary), here is how these guys finished in scoring for Wings last season in our league:
Wheeler - 294.50 pts good for #7 wing in league
Pacioretty - 271.25 good for #10 wing in league
Ryan - 206.50 good for #39 wing
All things point to Ryan bouncing back from his injury-riddled season. But Pacioretty sure looked solid and quite possibly could continue in upward fashion. Wheeler always ends up as a viable option at Wing in our set-up. Looking for thoughts on each and opinions on who to keep. My other keeper wing is Lucic for what it's worth. Figured he was a no-brainer.
Thanks all,
OMWP

I'd take Wheeler and Pacioretty. Ryan has a higher upside likely as he could maybe hit 70-75, but the other two are very consistent so I'd take that at this point.
Wheeler & Ryan is the way I would go.

Wheeler and Ryan for me.
I think a healthy Bobby Ryan and a second year settled in to Ottawa and he returns back to the Bobby Ryan we expected to see in Ottawa.
Tough choice though.

Ryan and Patches I think are the two best snipers here. After all, didn't Guy Lafleur call out patches recently.....ha....he'll light up the lamp this coming year. Wheeler was a very close 3rd.
Ryan

The numbers don't lie, go with Wheeler and Max Pac.
Ryan will bounce back, but not sure if he passes these guys in your league.
Wheeler and Max Pac for me.. But Ryan will definitely improve this season! !

Stats: G,A,PPG,ENG,SHG,GWG,OTG,ShootOut Goals/Attemtps,Hat Tricks,+/, FOW, PIMs, Majors, Misconducts, Hits, Blocked Shots
G, A, PPG, ENG, SHG, GWG, OTG, Shootout goals/attempts and Hat tricks. WOW heavy on points eh. I can’t say this for sure because I don’t have the time to compare all 3 perfectly with stats involved but I’ll give it a shot. All 3 are given the opportunity to score G, A, PPG, ENG, GWG, OTG, Hat Tricks and shootouts. I don’t think Ryan or Pax kill penalties often, but Wheeler does I think so point 1 for Wheeler.
Points and goals wise, Ryan and Wheeler actually have the chances to put up more points, but Pax is a much more pure goal scorer. With all the additional goal cats you can’t ignore Pax. Everyone gets a point. (2 – Wheeler, 1 – Ryan, 1 – Pax).
Hat Tricks are a tricky cat, I think it’s more lucky than anything. However someone who puts up 30 goals a yr is going to have a better chance than the guy who puts up 20. Point Ryan and Pax. All Tied
+/- anyones game out of the three, all were close. However I think Ryan wins the +/- next yr due to a surge in points. +1 for Ryan.
PIMS are small out of all three, but Wheeler had 63, which means he got misconduct in there for sure. Ryan had 45, so he had at least one as well. And Pax had 35, so he had one also. Pax to me is soft, but the others don’t surprise me in PIMs, so I’d say this cat is negligible. If they get penalties it’s just icing on the cake that day.
Hits and Blocks. Wheeler wins, with Ryans size he usually puts up great periphs. I’ll chalk up the lack of physicality as a result of a hernia he had all season. +1 for wheeler and Ryan.
So the score finished 4-Ryan, 3-Wheeler, 2-Pax. I’ll give Pax an extra point because he was on pace for a 44 goal season. So 4-Ryan, 3-Wheeler, 3-Pax.
My choice would be Ryan and Wheeler. Pax was shooting with a much higher shooting percentage than he is use too (14% besides his 10%), which turns his 38 goal season to 28. His playoffs saw him drop to a 9% shooting too.
My points for Ryan would be the second Spezza leaves; he goes from 2nd line winger with Turris to 1st line winger with Turris with 1st line minutes. Michalek was stealing minutes from Ryan because he played better with Spezza. More minutes = more shots = more chances to score. A Healthy Ryan was getting 70pt 30 goal seasons in Anaheim on the 2nd line, I can see him doing that on the Sens 1st line (remember, Karlsson is feeding him too).
If you read this far, imagine if I had time to look at the actual numbers
