He'll get flying when the rest of the Sabres do. Which won't be next year. But you're not gonna see him with 70 points when the rest of his team is getting 40. He'll gradually improve as Ennis, Grigorenko, etc do
With his recent play at the WC and his move to the wings, what should we expect from Hodgson?

50 points sounds about right IMO.
i see 50 as a floor for him if i am being honest, i think he could tease 60 next season
50 points max next season and maybe never develops into anything more than a 60ish point guy IMO, but he's attractive because most of his skills are centered around offense and playmaking ability.
p.s. keep in mind hes horrible at faceoffs, slow, and injury prone

how is he injury prone
I still see Hodgson the same way I did when he was drafted. Consistent 25-30 G, 30-35 A, 55-65 Pts, 225 SOG, 20 PPP. Career season he could flirt with 70. He will be a reliable, two-way, second line center.
The sooner he has a surrounding cast of talented forwards the more likely it is that he can approach career high numbers. Since that won't be for a season or three I would expect 50 points until further notice.
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
It'll be interesting to see how he will he used next year - as a center or as a winger. If I'm not mistaken, he got moved to wing late last season with Ennis and Girgensons centering the top-2 lines. His two-way game still isn't at the level needed from a center (which is funny as I remember him being this stud two-way player as a prospect). Anyways Hodgson (along with Ennis) should be the top scorers in Buffalo next year, somewhere around 50 points and big negative +/-.
